Petting Red Star chickens, brushing Jasper the calf, feeding sheep and watching pigs run made for a memorable morning last Saturday. My daughter and I participated in Saturday Mornings on the Farm at Gale Woods Farm in Minnetrista. It cost just $4 for me and was free for her since she's under 3.

The staff and volunteers were excellent, welcoming us to the farm and showing us how we could interact with the animals.

"Rumors" is a fast-paced comedy abou 10 clueless dinner guests for a high-society party with no cook and no hosts. Showing at 8 p.m. Aug. 7-9 and 2 p.m. Aug. 10. Presented by River Valley Theatre Company at Shakopee High School.

The main thing I want to say about Social Security is this:
The politicians don't care about the Social Security program; they don't have to depend on it for an income. Most of our elected officials will continue to receive thier current salary once they leave office, and continue to do so until they die!
